We’ll start by setting up a video call or in person consultation to review your project, the design process, and any questions you have. From that, you’ll receive a proposal that outlines price, timeline, and deliverables. Next step is a site visit to get measurements and photos of the existing space.

INSPIRATION + MOOD BOARDS.
It all begins with an idea. Whether you want to refresh your space or do a major remodel - an image inspiration boards, along with a materials mood board is a great place to hone in on your design direction.

INSPIRATION BOARDS: The first step is to create an inspiration board showing the overall design ideas for your project. It is based on likes and dislikes we’ve talked through, inspiration images you’ve saved on Pinterest or Instagram, along with images we have pulled. The inspiration board is delivered as a PDF via email.

MOOD BOARDS: The mood board shows the overall finish and furniture design ideas for your project. It will show materials and colors that we are planning to incorporate throughout the design. It is delivered along with the inspiration board as a PDF via email. The mood board will include shoppable links.

These boards can be priced separately or combined.

Selecting multiple finishes for a space can be challenging - even if you know what you want! We will help pull the materials needed for your project, including plumbing, lighting, paint colors, tile, and more. Your selections are delivered via Google Docs so that you can comment with your feedback and questions. The selections sheets include photos, notes, pricing, and links to the materials. They can be shared with your contractor for a comprehensive list of the design items for your project or purchased on your own.

Floor plans and elevations are a great first step if your project involves a major layout change and you are looking to understand the cost of construction. Not only will the floor plans help you visualize what your space could be, they’ll also provide detailed information to get initial bids and pricing from contractors and subs. The floor plans help you make decisions faster and allow you to feel more confident in your design choices.

FERN Interiors can provide a home evaluation that assess market readiness and detail suggested improvements. Suggestions might include repainting, replacing or rearranging furniture, art recommendations and ideas to reducing clutter.
